After 5 days in Shanghai, we flew about 2 hours south to go pick fabric swatches and visit our factories in a city called Guangzhou. It was there that we were able to meet everyone who has been working so hard for us to get our products done from start to finish. So much goes into one piece of garment… a ton more than I had originally thought! I came out of the factory having an extra appreciation for the detailed work that goes into all of the products — from the day that we choose the fabrics and patterns at the 4-story outdoor mart through the entire process of the product getting onto store shelves. Without all the hard work from the production team, we certainly wouldn’t have CottonTreats.

Fabric shopping in 100 degree, humid heat. We almost died, literally.

Neckline details on dresses.

Buttons.

Creating the Pattern.

Cutting Out the Patterns.

Sewing the patterns together.

Woven Garments.

Steaming and Ironing.

Packaging.

After a full day of work, all the workers were treated to a special company dinner. It was like having Christmas in September with alcohol, good food and raffles. Fun times!
